Hi Team,

For the Solomon Islands, we are now using level 1 or 2 gowns with N95 masks & face shield seeing that our climate is very hot and very low risk of breaching during doffing.

This was proven, that 99% of our Nurses and doctors who are working in the Severe or Covid wards with positive patients are all negative. Not only that the AUSMAT team who were with us for the past 3 weeks has been assured us that with that level of PPE is safe.

Therefore, we are using lever 1 or 2 gowns at the moment.

Hi everyone
Could you advise what AAMI level of gown used for COVID-19 in your facility? We currently use a Level 4 gown which is extremely hot in the Central Australian weather . Whilst NHMRC refers to an impervious isolation gown, the procurement team are requesting a AAMI level to be used across the facility , except where sterile or chemo gowns are required.
Can you let me know what you use?
Regards
