Hi Michael
No you are not missing anything! That is a clear misinterpretation of the
standards & one I have encountered recently with auditors myself.
Auditors should be familiar with the requirements as well as the intent of
the standard not confuse personal interpretation with fact. This sort of
response is infuriating & imposing unrealistic expectations & confusion on
a lot of facilities. We all need to make sure when asked to comment on the
next draft of AS/NZS 4187; for sterile stock storage, we insist on specific
criteria for commercially processed stock which is clearly different to
locally processed RMDs.
