5th World Sepsis Congress 8 to 9 April 2025

You are invited to join the 5th World Sepsis Congress, focusing on Sepsis Research and Innovations!

This is a free and virtual event held on April 8-9, 2025

In collaboration with the World Sepsis Congress Scientific Committee and a distinguished faculty of 100 experts, the Global Sepsis Congress is excited to bring together over 15,000 participants from more than 180 countries. The event will share cutting-edge research, best practices, and lessons learned, and identify critical gaps and priorities in sepsis prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and long-term care.

We look forward to seeing the Opening video address from WHO Director General Tedros Ghebreyesus – and various sessions including WHO colleagues from Headquarters and regions who are supporting and participating in this year’s event.

The program features over 90 expert speakers, including leading clinicians, scientists, policymakers, sepsis survivors, and representatives from patient advocacy groups.

Topics range from the latest research on personalized medicine and innovative therapies to global strategies for infection prevention to sepsis care delivery, and how AI can be leveraged to diagnose sepsis early.

Special attention will be given to the impact of climate change on infectious diseases, the rising threat of AMR, and how combating sepsis aligns with the SDGs’ commitment to health equity and universal access to care.

Two panel discussions will make the voices of patients heard and showcase lessons from countries that are reducing sepsis mortality through system change.
